The EFFAS EMC welcomed the appointment of Andrea Schenone from the Swiss Financial Analysts Association to join EFFASu2019 Commission on Financial Reporting (CFR) at their last videoconference held on 16 February 2021.

Andrea Schenone joins the 7 current members of the CFR which is now made up of representatives from 8 different EFFAS member societies. The EFFAS EMC and CFR members are sure that Mr Schenone will make a great contribution to the commissionu2019s work.

The CFR provides analystsu2019 views on the definition of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to international accounting standards setters. Its members work closely with the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) through the Global Analystsu2019 group and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) through the Usersu2019 Panel. EFRAG provides advice to the European Commission on issues related to the implantation in Europe of IFRS.

The CFRu2019s work focuses on providing analystsu2019 opinion on consultation papers prepared by the IASB and participating in the harmonization process with international accounting standard setters.
