We are thrilled to confirm that Jesu00fas Lu00f3pez Zaballos was re-elected as president of EFFAS at the EFFAS Annual General Meeting held the 9^th of June in Bucharest.

Jesu00fas now starts his 4^th consecutive term as the president of EFFAS, a Federation he has led since 2012. He explained that at EFFAS u201cwe are fully aware that there are many challenges to solve in the coming years. We want the future generations to be more conscious and acquainted with our activities; as well as for EFFAS to concentrate on developing European capital markets, especially in the SME sector. We are looking forward to facing the new challenges that come with artificial intelligence and its possible applications to financial analysis in the futureu2019u2019.

The president of EFFAS also highlighted that, in this 4^th term, he is determined to consolidate this federation as a worldwide standard setter for the formation and certification of investment professionals. He feels that it is important to strengthen EFFASu2019 capacity to offer solid proposals to public administration structures, regulators, and international entities in the financial sector: u2018u2019Today more than ever, I believe we are in a strong position, both financially as well as institutionally speaking. This will allow us to consolidate our leadership over the next three years as the model European association for professional analysts in financial reportingu2019u2019.

Some highlights from Jesu00fasu2019 previous terms of office include the international success of the first certification in,ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) (Environmental, Social, and Governance), for analysts, the EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst Programme, which now has more than 4,800 holders made up of financial professionals from more than 54 different countries. This number is expected to reach 6,000 by the end of 2023. Furthermore, more recently, EFFAS has produced another first with its focus on the crypto asset world with the launched its international certification: Digital Assets and MICA (DiAM).
