On September 14, on behalf of EFFAS, Dr. Jesu00fas Lu00f3pez Zaballos, the EFFAS Chair, handed over a symbolic donation cheque for u20ac40,200 to Dr. Nils Gru00f6ppel, Corporate Partnerships at UNICEF Germany. Dr. Valeria Fauner, the EFFAS Director in Training and Qualifications, joined the Chair to hand over the cheque at the EFFAS Office in Frankfurt am Main. On this occasion the money will go towards UNICEFu2019s emergency response in Ukraine and neighbouring countries, delivering life-saving programmes and services for children and meeting critical and escalating needs for safe water, health care, education and protection.

Dr. Gru00f6ppel was very pleased to receive the donation and thanked EFFAS for creating and supporting important initiatives such as this campaign.

Dr. Lu00f3pez Zaballos emphasized the Federation’s commitment not only to providing high-quality training on ESG but at a corporate level practising these same values, in which the u201cSu201d of social is at the heart of this initiative conceived to support children and their families affected by the war in Ukraine.

EFFAS reached this amount thanks to a contribution for each of the 536 candidates who enrolled in the EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA) exam on 3 June 2022. Dr. Lu00f3pez Zaballos said that EFFASu2019s social engagement will definitely not stop after this initiative and said that the intention was to give continuity by supporting other UNICEF projects.

The Federation will consider a permanent campaign to support ongoing social & environmental projects where all the CESGA holder community could take an active part and participate in the selection of the project(s) they think EFFAS should contribute to.
