Module 10 of the EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst Programme (CESGA) is expanding. The body of the programme already extensively covers European ESG issues and information on ESG developments in the APAC region was included in the latest materials update in Module 10 with information on markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. This was very well received by financial practitioners so we hope the information on ESG developments in North America and Latin America to be added at the end of the summer will be just as popular.
In March 2022, Patricia Moles, a specialist in sustainable finance, Environmental and Social Risk Policy Analysis Directorate, Banco de México was selected to design and teach the ESG trends in Latin America which will be added to Module 10.
Patricia has more than 25 years of experience in international capital markets and the development of sustainable corporate strategies, mainly in Latin America. She has advised Banco de México in the development of a sustainable finance agenda since 2018. She joined the team of advisors to the Governor of Banco de México in 2020, promoting the agenda of the Network of Central Banks to green the financial system (NGFS) of which Banco de México is a founding member. She has also acted as Alternate Secretary in the Committee of Sustainable Finance, of the Financial System Stability Council and coordinated the Sustainable Finance Executive training at the ITAM in Mexico, in 2020 and 2021.
Patricia trained in economics at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and has a master’s degree in International Management from ESADE, Barcelona, and a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE), in London.
Throughout the Latin America ESG module Patricia will provide an update on the main trends in ESG related practices in the region, highlighting the main regional disparities, focusing on corporate ESG practices, developments in ESG risk integration by financial institutions, as well as the main regulatory approaches in the region.
