EFFAS is commited not only to providing high-quality training in ESG but also at a corporate level to practicing these same values. We have taken the “S” of social to put it at the heart of this initiative conceived to support children and their families around the world.
How does it work?
This time CESGA holders and candidates will choose the project that they believe should receive the donation.
EFFAS on behalf of the CESGA community will donate €50 to the chosen project for each candidate enrolled to the June 2023 exam session.
A LinkedIn poll will be shared with the CESGA community to select one of 4 suggested Projects.
Our vision:
To achieve the greatest impact by helping children wherever they live with whatever they need to improve their situation through flexible funding.
EFFAS will work with UNICEF through the donations to help children wherever and whenever the need is greatest. For example, to support children and their families in areas affected by conflicts and emergency situations.
Suggested Projects:
- Living Schools in Malawi
Goal: Provide children with a good education and a perspective for their future in Malawi, while at the same time creating sustainable living spaces.
Due to climate change, the region is increasingly affected by extreme weather conditions. This also threatens the food situation, which is dependent on agriculture.
The construction of wells equipped with solar pumps is being developed, providing schools with a drinking water supply and hygiene systems. School gardens support responsible, environmentally friendly actions and healthy nutrition. Trees are planted to protect against sun, storms, and floods.

- Climate resilient schools in Bolivia
Goal: Schools as centres for resilience to natural disasters and the impacts of climate change to ensure communities have continued access to education.
Bolivia has frequently been affected by natural disasters in recent years. In 2018, five out of nine regions within Bolivia were affected by climate-related disasters.
This programme aims to develop and adapt school infrastructure through solar panels as a green power source, groundwater pumps, and planting gardens to teach sustainable agricultural practices.

Solar Energy in Burundi
Goal: Bringing light and clean energy to remote regions of Burundi to provide better learning conditions and safety for children and their families.
Less than 10% of the population in rural areas in Burundi has access to electricity. People rely on wood and coal for energy or kerosene lamps for lighting exposing them to high health risks.
To help eliminate this problem, this programme provides rechargeable solar lights that can be hung from the ceiling or worn with a headband.

- Protecting children from violence
Goal: Helping particularly vulnerable children and their families in Cambodia live together a life that is free of violence and appropriate for children.
Many girls and boys in Cambodia experience violence as young children. Every fifth child between the ages of 5 and 17 is forced to work in Cambodia, often just as hard as adults.
Several thousand children in foster care are reintegrated into their families with the help of UNICEF and supported in their reintegration.
