This past 8th of June, EFFAS had the pleasure to participate in the 15th-year annual anniversary conference of the AAFBR (Romanian Association of Financial-Banking Analysts) held at the prestigious National Bank of Romania. This momentous event brought together industry experts, financial professionals, and policymakers from across Europe to celebrate AAFBR’s significant contributions to the financial sector.
The conference provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and fostering collaborations among professionals in the financial analysis field internationally.
The annual AAFBR conference represents a debate platform for economists and experts with various specializations in the financial-banking field, a very suitable opportunity to understand the current economic and financial context, to participate in debates and to meet other professionals in the economic field.
At the conference, various panels took place, the first one was focused on Macroeconomic perspectives in the European context, featuring notable experts such as Fritz Mostboeck, Deputy Chairman of EFFAS, Valentin Lazea, Chief Economist at the National Bank of Romania, and many other valued professionals in the field.
The conference also included a second discussion opening up how ESG is going to impact the banking sector. Moderated by Prof. Dan Nițescu, Senior Advisor to the Governor at the National Bank of Romania, in a panel which again featured prominent figures like Patrick de Cambourg, Chair of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board, Jean Philippe Desmartins, Co-chair of the EFFAS Commission on ESG, and many other figures.
