The Project Task Force on non-financial reporting standards (PTF-NFRS) of the European Lab @EFRAG is holding a series of online outreach events to take place between 13 and 22 January 2021, for collecting the views of stakeholders from different countries on the tentative proposals of the PTF- NFRS on possible EU non-financial reporting standards.
The objective of the online eventsis to gather views from European stakeholders on the tentative proposals of the PTF-NFRS to the European Commission. The events will be public online webinars with speakers from the public sector, the private sector, SMEs and civil society from across Europe. Audience participation will be possible through polling questions and written Q&A.Each webinar has a specific focus such as Spanish, German, French, and Italian which will be held in those respective languages and the webinars with a focus on Scandinavia, European Organisations and other European Countries, and Financial Institutions will be held in English. The available places for each webinar are limited.

EFFAS is represented on the PTF-NFRs by Dr. Carsten Zielke, who is also a member of EFFAS’s Commission on Financial Reporting. The co-chair of the EFFAS Commission on ESG, Jean-Philippe Desmartin, is a member and representative of EFFAS on the EFRAG European Lab Project Task Force on Reporting of Non-Financial Risks and Opportunities.
In June 2020, the European Commission issued a request for technical advicemandating EFRAG to undertake preparatory work for the elaboration of possible EU non-financial reporting standards in a revised Non-Financial Reporting Directive.
