The German member society, DVFA elected Mr Thorsten Müller as the new Chair of the association. DVFA also elected the new executive board and the specialist board members. Thorsten Müller, CIIA, CEFA, CeFM, Lighthouse Corporate Finance GmbH, takes over as CEO from Stefan Bielmeier, DZ PRIVATBANK S.A. After 10 years in office at the helm of the association, Mr. Bielmeier was no longer available for re-election.
Thorsten Müller will lead the Management Board as Chair together with Ingo R. Mainert, Investment Analyst (DVFA), Allianz Global Investors GmbH, and Christoph Schlienkamp, Investment Analyst (DVFA), GS &P Kapitalanlagegesellschaft (Capital Investment Company) S.A., as Deputy Chair. Both were re-elected.
With the elected board members, the DVFA can build on a team of experts from different areas of the financial world:

Thorsten Müller is a banker and has a degree in business administration. He rounded off his training with the CIIA. After positions at Commerzbank in Frankfurt and at WestLB in Düsseldorf, he became managing partner of Lighthouse Corporate Finance GmbH in Frankfurt am Main. There he is responsible for capital market and M&A transactions. In 2018 Thorsten Müller was elected to the board of directors of the DVFA where he was particularly involved last year in the topics of capital market union, SMEs and ESG. Thorsten is considered a proven primary market specialist. He is a member of the DVFA Commission for Company Analysis and head of the MIFID/Regulation working group. He is also a member of the Issuer Market Advisory Committee of Deutsche Börse AG.
Thorsten thanked Stefan Bielmeier for his extraordinary commitment to, and excellent cooperation with DVFA. He paid tribute to the many years his predecessor had led the association through difficult times. Thorsten will set his own priorities at DVFA, but his aim to further develop the association in the same spirit as Stefan.
