EFFAS is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished market professionals to its Training & Qualifications Commission (TQC). Their experience in capital markets, professional education, and regulatory dialogue will further strengthen the Commission’s role in shaping high standards for financial training and certification across Europe.
We are delighted to welcome the following new members:
Beatriz Alonso-Majagranzas
With extensive experience in the Spanish stock exchange, she has been directly involved in the development and evolution of Spain’s financial markets within a highly competitive environment, serving on the Executive Committee of BME and as a member of the Boards of Directors of the Stock Exchange Governing Companies, as well as the derivatives market (MEFF) and the fixed income market (BME Renta Fija).
She has actively participated in various national and international forums, such as the Advisory Committee of the CNMV, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts, and the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) in shaping the rules and frameworks applicable to financial markets since the implementation of MiFID in 2007, helping define their key elements and evolution.
Alongside her interest in the evolution of trading models, she has contributed to the development of the Spanish capital market as a source of financing, with a special focus on IPO processes and on streamlining subsequent financing activities through both equity and fixed income.
Her regular participation in conferences, seminars, and publications enables her to foster debate and reflection on the needs and challenges facing the market.
Over the years, she has led the development and introduction of a wide range of new financial instruments and the creation of new market segments and trading modalities, all of which have strengthened the relevance of the Spanish securities market. This has been accompanied by an increasing technological component which, together with a regulatory framework that ensures orderly market functioning, is essential for its modernisation and accessibility for all types of investors.
