EFFAS Appoints Stefano Zambon as Chair of the Preselection Jury for the Gasperini Awards 2026
The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) is pleased to share the appointment of Prof. Dr. Stefano Zambon as Chair of the Preselection Jury for the Gasperini Awards 2026.
Stefano Zambon is Professor of Accounting and Business Administration at the University of Ferrara and serves as Secretary General of the Italian Foundation for Business Reporting (O.I.B.R.). He is widely recognised for his professional contributions to corporate reporting, sustainability accounting, and much more.
In his role as Chair of the Preselection Jury, Professor Zambon will lead the initial review of submitted papers, overseeing the preselection process before the final evaluation by the international jury. This stage is critical to ensure rigour and alignment with the Awards’ objectives.
“High-quality research plays a crucial role in shaping credible ESG reporting, sustainable finance practices, and the treatment of intangible assets. On the other hand, there is still a gap between theory and practice, research and application in this field.
Indeed, the Gasperini Awards addresses this gap and greatly help strengthen the dialogue between market participants, academia, and policymakers. I am very pleased to contribute to this process as Chair of the Preselection Jury.”
The Gasperini Awards 2026 recognise outstanding research that advances understanding and practice in ESG reporting, sustainable finance, climate change, and many related topics with innovation and long-term value creation in mind. The Awards aim to strengthen the link between investment professionals, academic research, market practice, and policymaking across Europe and beyond.
EFFAS is honoured to count on Professor Zambon’s expertise in supporting the Gasperini Awards.
