EFFAS ESG Expert Sonia Artuso Elected to EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group (SR TEG)

EFFAS is pleased to congratulate Sonia Artuso, member of the EFFAS Commission on ESG and the EFFAS ESG Review Panel, on her election as a new member of the EFRAG SR TEG.
EFRAG’s SR TEG plays an important role in providing technical advice on the development of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards, supporting EFRAG’s work on sustainability reporting and its contribution to the European Commission. Sonia’s appointment recognises her longstanding expertise in sustainable finance, ESG integration and the use of sustainability information in financial decision-making.

A recognised expert in sustainable finance
Sonia Artuso is ESG Investment Integration Manager at Generali, where she works on the integration of sustainability considerations across investment activities. Her professional background includes previous roles at Fideuram Asset Management and Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking, with experience in fund selection, portfolio management and ESG integration in investment processes.
She is also actively involved in European and international sustainable finance initiatives, contributing to working groups including FinDatEx, PRI and UNEP FI, with a particular focus on policy development, market practice and the usability of sustainability information for financial professionals. Sonia is a member of AIAF and has also contributed to ESG-related activities within EFFAS, supporting the development of professional standards in sustainable finance.
Contribution to EFFAS ESG standards
Within EFFAS, Sonia contributes to the work of the EFFAS Commission on ESG and the EFFAS ESG Review Panel. The ESG Review Panel brings together leading academics and practitioners to safeguard the quality of EFFAS certifications in the ESG area, including the maintenance of programme syllabi and certification exams. Its work supports the continued development of the Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA) certification and the high standards of EFFAS programmes in sustainable finance.
Sonia is also a lecturer at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Turin and is certified CIIA, CEFA and CESGA. She has co-authored publications on sustainable finance, ESG measurement and sustainability disclosure.
