In Memoriam: Jean-Baptiste Bellon

On behalf of EFFAS, it is with great sadness that we hear the news of the passing of Jean-Baptiste Bellon, a valued colleague, friend, and former member of the Executive Management Committee of EFFAS.

Jean-Baptiste was a highly respected financial analyst, recognised for his sound judgment, intellectual rigour, and strong sense of collaboration. Throughout his career, he made an enduring contribution to the financial analyst profession, he had deep expertise in banking and insurance with a rare ability to explain complex topics with clarity and pedagogy.

Within EFFAS, he was a thoughtful and constructive voice, always committed to dialogue and to the collective advancement of the profession. His engagement also extended internationally through his active role on the Board of ACIIA. He strengthened the global analyst community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jean-Baptiste will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and human qualities. A colleague who listened, supported others, and brought professionalism and kindness to every interaction.

His passing represents a great loss for EFFAS and for the wider community of financial analysts.

EFFAS extends its sincere condolences to his family, his loved ones, and to all colleagues and friends who had the privilege of working with him.
